Once again, it is a beautiful woman that brings about all the strife. The Memoirs of a Vampire is a wonderful book. I remember these being so much better, and here laid the holy grail of the series, the one spoken of in whispered awe as the best that I had missed out on, and instead of joy I was only filled with wonder at how it had made it through the publishing process.

With that taken care of, Strahd begins his rule. I’m pretty sure the Tome of Strahd is a direct reference to the novel. Strahd Von Zarovich’s life has been full of missed chances and opportunities that were replaced with military campaigns. But then I thought about it and finally had vamplre slip this down to 2 stars. The novel is clumsily written, filled with poor word choices and laughable lines.

This has to be one of the better vampire mythologies that Memoifs have read in a long time. You almost sympathise with his plight – almost.

May 19, Andrew Bass memoir it it was amazing. The Memoirs of a Vampire Ravenloft 7 by P. The official title is I, Strahd. Being in the middle of the series, I was worried that it wouldn’t work as a stand alone, but it did for me at any rate. This stirs up all the feelings of his passing youth and mortality.

That book actually has a sequel I, Strahd: The Memoirs of a Vampire Cover of the first edition. I was not aware until I was finished listening that he also narrates the Nicholas Flamel Series. A dark gothic delight. Sometimes you find that nostalgic memois that takes you back to being a kid, and you smile from start to finish… this was not one of them.

He is as poisonous as the fog bordering his lands. I stopped reading this book after pages but finally got around to finishing it just now.
