Keep your options open. What this guy needs is support and understanding Maybe you didn't intend it this way, but it sounds like you're assuming I'm not already giving him the benefit of the doubt, space, support, and understanding. If you are in a movie theater, you can't talk, so you can't get to know the girl you are dating. As a matter of fact, you can begin here. She won't marry you. I entertained without him, but with frequent phone calls, lol. How do you really feel about that. They know that they are the best. He stated he is in his 30's and established, and incapable of changing…. I am so in love with him and he says he is too minus the stupid cheating.
If you like her, and I'm assuming you do, I would suggest you continue the relationship and see how things pan out. Listen, you are in a bad situation and it just has not come to a head yet. First, let's start with a short musical introduction on what it's like to be a True Believing Mormon dude. This guy was orbiting so strongly that he changed his religion before they were even dating. No doubt that some will be valiant up on the other side of the veil, but just as sure there will others who will reject salvation because of their high mindedness. He may never come out and say it, but if you mention marriage outside of the church and he's OK with it, you have a slight chance of being happily married to her and not being mormon. I wanted that full support though I am certainly not saying that marrying a Mormon ensures that. We keep "waiting" for it to get easier, and every year it just doesn't. It has to do with their character.
